Knead collects a device identifier to personalize your experience, save your preferences, and build your taste profile. If you connect with friends, we store your display name and friend connections.
Recipes you import, generate, or fork are stored to provide the service. Imported recipes from public URLs may be cached to serve other users who import the same content, reducing processing time.
When you use voice commands in cook mode, audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription. We do not store audio recordings. Text-to-speech audio is generated on-demand and cached temporarily.
We collect anonymous interaction data (views, saves, recipe completions) to improve recipe recommendations. This data is tied to your device ID, not to any personally identifiable information.
We use Anthropic (recipe AI), OpenAI (voice), Supabase (database), and RevenueCat (subscriptions). Each processes data according to their own privacy policies.
You can request deletion of your data by contacting us. Clearing app data from your device removes all local preferences and saved recipes.
